How do I do a detect and repair in outlook ?

If you are experiencing problems with Microsoft Outlook then there is an option called "detect and repair", this searches for any issues that the program may have and automatically repairs them. To perform this please do the following.....

Open up Microsoft Outlook and go to the help menu. Here you will see the detect and repair option. Click on this to perform the operation. Be sure to check restore my shortcuts while repairing, if you want default shortcuts to be restored.

If you are using Outlook 2007.....

Detect and repair has been replaced in Outlook 2007 with a new feature which allows you to diagnose and repair problems when they occur.  To run this go to the following

Start \ Programs \ Microsoft Office \ Microsoft Office Tools \ Microsoft Office Diagnostics

Then follow the instructions.
